A child is diagnosed with an intellectual disability every 2 hours and people with intellectual disabilities are the largest disability population in Australia.

Including a donation in your Will to Special Olympics will help us to bring happiness to people with intellectual disabilities by continuing to provide accessible sporting opportunities on a week-in, week-out basis along with training, coaching and competition opportunities in local communities throughout Australia.

Leaving a gift in your Will can be a big decision, and you’ve probably got questions. We’ve put together some information about leaving a gift in your Will which should provide most of the answers.

How do I leave a bequest to Special Olympics?

If you already have a Will, you can easily make a minor change or addition to it with your solicitor or trustee.

You can include Special Olympics in your Will by:

  • Specifying a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate
  • Allocating the residue, or a percentage of the remainder of your estate after distributions of your bequests to loved ones has been distributed
  • Bequeathing real estate, shares, collections, assets, insurance policies and annuities

We recommend all bequests be discussed with your legal advisor.
